Unlike traditional construction, Woodhouse-The Timber Frame Company utilizes Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPS) between each beam, providing energy savings & comfort.
Timber Frame and Post & Beam homes showcase abundant natural light as well as breathtaking views of the surrounding natural environment by boasting open floor plans, high ceilings & ample windows.
Timber Frame homes are constructed by using expertly crafted timbers, which are jointed utilizing large wooden pegs. Traditionally, the use of axes, adzes, manual augers, and A LOT of manpower gradually yielded a structure which was strong and provided open living spaces.
Thanks to advances in technology, today, we can achieve the same level of craftsmanship in a lot less time, by combining the precision of state-of-the-art C.N.C. (Computer Numerical Control) machinery with hand crafting and a keen eye for perfection. Depending on your budget and the aesthetic effect you are striving to achieve, this expertly crafted lumber is available in your choice of several species such as Oak, Douglas Fir, Eastern Pine, and Southern Yellow Pine.
